Christine Carter, DVM is one of the founding owners and veterinarians at River Run Animal Hospital. She graduated with honors in 2006 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, located in St. Kitts. Dr. Carter grew up in Ashland, Virginia and after graduating veterinary school she moved back to Richmond. Since then she has been practicing emergency and preventative small animal medicine in the Richmond area. Her dedication leading her to a career as a veterinarian was to sustain the human-animal bond by improving and preserving the health of the pet.
When Dr. Carter is not at the hospital, she is spending her time giving back to the community. She currently serves on a medical board for a local non-profit, Fetch a Cure. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Richmond and Daughters of the American Revolutionary War.
Dr. Carter currently resides in Richmond, Virginia along with her children and pets. Boomer is their always hungry, counter-surfing Labrador retriever, Superstar is their sock stealing Yorkie-poo, Churchill is their “not that fat” of a cat, and Disco Jerry their shrimp and Prince Tulip the beta-fish run the place.
